American designer, Phillip Lim, has perfectly defined his fashion aesthetic in just one sentence. A key figure on New York’s fashion scene, Lim is of Chinese descent while his parents emigrated to the US from Thailand. Having worked in the fashion industry for a couple of years, Lim decided to start his own brand back in 2005. That’s how 3.1 Phillip Lim was born.
